About

Summer Design is a Bangkok-based design-oriented firm established in 2019. We operate as a multidisciplinary design agency, offering services in architecture, landscape, interior design, exhibition design, installation art, furniture design, product design, graphics, and corporate branding. Our mission is to push the boundaries of traditional disciplines through dynamic collaborations with experts from diverse fields. With agility, creativity, and an open-minded approach, we eschew fixed styles or rigid design methodologies. Instead, we embark on each project with a fresh hypothesis, aiming to articulate cultural arguments and explore innovative methodologies to implement design solutions.

Nutchanun Boontassaro, Director

Nutchanun graduated Bachelor of Architecture with first-class honors from Chulalongkorn University, she worked at WOHA (Thailand), Somdoon Architect (Thailand) which receive experiences in luxury private residences, condominiums, office buildings before pursuing advanced studies abroad. She received the Master of Science degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia university in New York. After graduation, she worked as a design architect in New York with CAZA Architects to expand design methods in various scale. In 2019, Nutchanun and co-founder founded ‘Studio Summer Design Co., Ltd.’ In Bangkok Thailand.

Phummarin Wongyai, Designer

Phummarin is a dynamic young designer with full of creative energy. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Perception-based Architectural Designer from Faculty of Architecture at Chiang Mai University. With experience in designing and building exhibitions, event spaces, and other design projects, she has a deep understanding of human behavior and the hidden requirements of users in architectural programs. She takes greats pleasure in showcasing her unique and outstanding ideas and has a talent for bringing them to life as if by magic.

Chanthapiraya Jitwiroj, Designer

Chanthapiraya gained a Bachelor’s degree in Community-based Architectural Designer from Faculty of Architecture at Chiang Mai University. As a young and innovative designer, she is deeply interested in cultural contexts and community environments. Chanthapiraya derives inspiration from her surroundings to create stunning architecture, interior designs and other types of design spaces. She is also enthusiastic about designing small details that add a touch of whimsy to her work, such as hidden “easter eggs” in her works.
